A Message from the Founder

Hi, I’m Gillian — and I started this business with a deep belief in the power of a calm, functional home.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved organizing, tidying, and finding systems that make daily life feel a little easier. But it’s not just about clean counters or labeled bins — it’s about creating space for people to breathe, relax, and spend more time doing what they love. Whether that means helping someone finally tackle the clutter, build routines that actually work, or just take a few chores off their plate, I feel incredibly lucky to support people in that way.

Everyone’s home and needs are different — and I truly love taking the time to get to know each client and build solutions that feel good for them. I started Grounded Spaces because I believe a tidy, functional home can change how we show up in our lives. And if I can make that process a little less overwhelming and a lot more peaceful for you — then I’m doing what I’m meant to do.

Thanks for being here 💚

My 5-Stage Approach

I know the journey from clutter to calm isn’t always easy, so I’ve crafted a process that meets you where you are and guides you gently toward the home you deserve.

Stage 1: Consultation

We start with a one-on-one conversation where I get to know your space, your lifestyle, and your vision. We’ll talk about what’s working, what’s not, your routines, your family’s needs, your decluttering and organizing goals, and more! This helps me get a clear picture of how I can help you so I can begin preparing to make your dreams a reality.

Stage 2: Sort

I sort everything in the chosen area into categories — customized to what we’re working through. This makes it easier to see exactly how much you have in each category. Seeing your items sorted this way helps inform your decision to keep or cut out each item.

Stage 3: Cut Down

Together, we’ll decide what stays and what goes, keeping your original goals in mind. I’ll give you a gentle push when needed to help you hit your targets — and I’ll handle removing the items you choose to let go of (with the exception of large items, such as furniture).

Stage 4: Organize

With the clutter gone, I’ll bring in storage solutions that make your space functional, easy to maintain, and visually pleasing. I’ll ensure everything has a home that makes sense for you and your routines. The success of this stage is dependent on meeting our “cut down” goals, so your hard work during the cut down will be rewarded heavily here!

Stage 5: Ongoing Cleaning

If you’d like, I can return on a schedule you choose to keep your space fresh and functional. This includes tidying, dusting, cleaning glass and mirrors, wiping down surfaces, vacuuming, and mopping. The end result? A space that feels lighter, works for your life, and stays that way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to do all five stages, or can I just pick one or two?

A: We tailor your process to fit your unique goals and needs.

If you’re hoping to only organize, but there’s extra stuff standing in the way, we’ll work together to declutter first — because having too much can make organizing less effective and more overwhelming. The good news? We will move at your pace, and every step is designed to support your vision for a calmer, more functional home.

As for ongoing cleaning, that service is always available on its own or as a way to maintain the peace and order we create together. It’s a simple way to keep your home feeling fresh, without the stress of daily upkeep.

Q: How long does each stage usually take?

A: I wish I could give a simple, straightforward timeline — but every home and every person is different, so the time needed will vary.

How long it takes depends on your specific goals, how much clutter we’re working through, and how comfortable you feel letting go of things. Some people move through the process quickly, while others take more time (and that’s okay!) During our consultation, we’ll talk about your expectations, and I’ll help you set a pace that feels manageable. The goal is steady progress that feels good to you.

Q: What if I'm emotionally attached to my belongings?

A: It’s completely natural to feel attached to your things. I’m here to support you as we work through those feelings together.

There’s no rush or pressure to make decisions before you’re ready. My role is to provide gentle guidance and create a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore what truly matters to you. I will never push you to declutter items that serve a purpose and add value to your life. We’ll take it one step at a time, celebrating every small win along the way.

Q: Do you provide storage solutions, or do I need to buy my own?

A: I’ll  source storage solutions that fit your space, style, and budget.

Before ordering anything, I’ll always get your approval and explain exactly what the item is and how it will help keep your space organized. I aim to find solutions that feel customized to your needs and preferences — whether that’s simple, affordable containers or more tailored options. While I handle the ordering for your convenience, the costs will be billed to you directly. Together, we’ll make sure everything works perfectly for your home and lifestyle.

Q: Can I add ongoing cleaning services anytime?

A: Absolutely! You can add, pause, or adjust ongoing cleaning whenever you like.

Whether you’re brand new to Grounded Spaces or already a client, this service is available to keep your home fresh, functional, and stress-free. You can choose the frequency that fits your lifestyle — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly — and adjust anytime. It’s designed to be flexible and supportive, so your space always feels cared for.

Q: How do I prepare for our sessions?

A: The most important thing is to come with an open mind — it’s totally normal to feel nervous, but don’t worry, I’ll bring plenty of enthusiasm to keep us motivated!

If you’re able, it’s helpful to tidy up items that already have a home elsewhere in the house before I arrive. For example, putting away laundry that’s drifted into the living room can make our time together more focused and productive. Other than that, no need to stress about being perfectly ready. We’ll take it step by step, working at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Let's bring calm and order to your home — together.
